Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
The short version
We collect your name and email so we can hold your founding place and tell you when TUKO launches. We don't sell your details. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
TUKO Baby Limited runs tuko.world and is responsible for your personal data. Our registered office is 63 Dock Street, Dundee, Scotland, DD1 3DU and our company number is SC757961. For anything to do with your data, email info@tuko.world.
What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First name and email address | When you reserve a founding place | To hold your place, confirm it and email you about the launch |
| Whether you open or click our emails | When you read our emails | To see what's useful and send fewer emails that aren't |
| Device, browser, pages visited and how you found us | When you visit the site | To keep the site working and understand which ads and pages work |
| Anything you send us | When you email us | To reply to you |
We don't collect payment details on this site. If you back TUKO on Kickstarter, Kickstarter handles your payment under its own privacy policy.
Our legal reasons for using your data
UK data protection law says we need a lawful basis for each thing we do with your data:
- Consent for sending you emails about your founding place and the launch. You give this when you reserve, and you can withdraw it any time.
- Legitimate interests for running and improving the site, keeping it secure and measuring our ads.
- Consent for non-essential cookies, which you can accept or turn down when you first visit.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with companies that help us run TUKO:
- Shopify, which hosts the site
- Klaviyo, which sends our emails and stores the reservation list
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for measuring and targeting our ads, if you accept marketing cookies
They can only use your data to provide their service to us. Some of them are based in the US. Where your data leaves the UK, we rely on the legal safeguards the law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US Data Bridge.
We'll never sell your data. We may share it if the law requires us to.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies, which make the site and sign-up form work
- Analytics cookies, which show us how people use the site
- Marketing cookies, including the Meta pixel, which tell us whether our ads are working
Only essential cookies are set without asking. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.
How long we keep it
We keep your reservation details until the founding run is over, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you go on to buy a TUKO, we'll keep what we need for your order, warranty and tax records, usually for six years.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your data
- stop or limit how we use it
- send your data to you or another company in a usable format
You can also object to us using your data for our legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. To do any of this, email info@tuko.world. We'll reply within one month.
Children
TUKO is made for carrying babies, but this site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at info@tuko.world so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page as TUKO moves from reservations to sales. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a big change to how we use your data, we'll email you.
